We all on the street need friends
To the homeless they are our family
And when our problem has no ends
Friends help us to see things clearly.

Without friends out here you’re alone
And for most that is not a good thing
Because when the streets are your home
Friends can a little peace and safety bring.

At times a friend is all you have to turn to
When the world seems to come crashing in
They are there to help and support you
Even when you’re stretched really thin.

Friends for me are a necessity of life
When I’m on the streets that’s for sure
They keep me focused and help relieve strife
For loneliness, too, they’re a pretty good cure.
