face the facts

Take the time to look around and see
The fact that homeless people are in your city
And that this problem will not just go away
That is what I’m trying to say

Homelessness is a fact that we all face
For some it’s realizing a home is an open space
On the street or in a shelter we reside
But you would rather we go away and hide.

Fear is the motivation for this belief
You don’t want to help or lend any relief
Because you’re afraid you may end up like me
Without a home or a warm place to be.

Homelessness is here and it’s getting worse it’s true
But it can be stopped if you know what to do
Not everyone has money or a home in which to live
But those who do should to the less fortunate give.
